Vaude Performance 9 Medium Sleeping Pad

The VAUDE Performance 9 Medium mattress was designed for hikers who want to combine maximum performance with minimal weight.

With its low weight (370 g) and tiny packed size (10 x 27.5 cm), the mattress fits into the smallest of backpacks. Nevertheless, thanks to innovative thermal insulation, it can withstand even winter nights (R-Value of 5.5). Instead of down or synthetic fiber filling, a reflective film divides the inside of the mattress into different convection chambers: the air warmed by the sleeper circulates at the top while the cold from the ground is stopped at the bottom. The heat emitted by the sleeping person is also reflected.

The waffle structure of the new chamber construction offers a flatter surface and better sleeping comfort for all types of sleepers (back, stomach, side).

The straight side contour also allows two mattresses to be brought together to form a "double bed".
