A benchmark model in ski touring for several years, the SCARPA Gea is a shoe that will be perfect for skiers of all levels looking for comfort and versatility without sacrificing performance, both uphill and downhill.

This shoe is made from Pebax Renew, a lightweight material offering a very good flexibility/support compromise, also produced from renewable resources.

At the heel level, it benefits from a variable shell wall thickness to minimize weight while providing support and great power.

Offering 60° of travel (14° forward / 46° backward), the Gea features the Speed Lock with gloves. In addition, the mechanism has been designed to allow frictionless movement during the walking phase.

Finally, the 3-buckle locking system with Velcro strap is as intuitive as it is reliable to use.

This shoe, compatible with all ski touring bindings, is ideal for use with skis 75 to 95 mm wide.

Muule's advice :
Adding a specific sole to a ski touring boot is of crucial importance for several reasons.
It improves arch support and weight distribution across the foot, which is essential during long ascents and descents on ski touring.
Next, a well-adapted sole reduces the risk of blisters, discomfort and foot fatigue, allowing the skier to concentrate fully on their technique and their environment.
Additionally, it can help properly align the foot, ankle and knee, reducing the risk of injury. A specific sole provides better thermal insulation, keeping feet warm in cold and wet snow conditions.
In short, it contributes significantly to the overall ski touring experience by improving comfort, performance and safety. SIDAS offers these products, they are available on our site.
